Winless Weekend for 'Bridge

Not much festive cheer for Boroughbridge this weekend - two draws and three defeats the reward to take us to Christmas. A 1-1 away at Pool and 2-2 home to Bardsey for the Senior and Sunday teams respectvely were the best of the weekend results. Meanwhile the Reserves were suffering away at Knaresborough, going down by two goals without reply, the 'A'Team were failing to use home advantage in going down 5-2, and the Sunday Reserves were totally dominant in a 3-1 home defeat.

Match Reports:

BOROUGHBRIDGE SUNDAY RESERVES 1 - 3 DISHFORTH DIVISION 2

On a frost covered surface, Boroughbridge Reserves produced one of their best performances for many weeks. The game was in doubt until late in the day, but both sides rolled up their sleeves, and got on with it. Boroughbridge took control immediately, and only fine goalkeeping from James Lee in the Dishforth goal saved them from a 'cricket score'. He saved brilliantly from Gary Watts on three occasions, twice from Johnny Ibbotson, and the talented Matt Uffindall kept him busy all game. Dishforth had three shots and scored on three occasions( Shaun Taylorson 52 & 67)(Mark Trowler 22). Man of the match went to the excellent Craig Tetley, who also produced the miss of the game. Once again, well done to all the lads on an excellent team display.
