Weekend Form Statistics

It's been over 2 months since the Sunday Reserves played Leeds City Adelers in their last outing. We finally get to their last game of a short season this weekend, at home to a high flying and free scoring Tadcaster Magnets Reserves. Sitting only 4 points behind FC Boston Reserves with 3 games in hand, Taddy will hope to use this match to strengthen their position in the title race. Goals are not an issue for them, scoring 9 against Hampsthwaite and 8 on three other occasions, including twice against Hampsthwaite again!! Easy winners against us in the Cup outing in November, we will have a lot to do to prevent a repeat of January's league defeat and an unwanted treble. Richie Renton takes on the Gaffer's role for this match, a role we might see him perform on a more permanent basis in the future if he enjoys his experience on Sunday. All the best Richie.

Tricky will have feelings of deja vu as we meet Harrogate CSC only 3 weeks since our extra time exit at their hands in the Claro FA Challenge Cup. Always a difficult tie, we will look to a repeat of our League win away in August but both ends of the table look equally distant now for us. Rich will need to work to avoid focus straying to Cup finals which are just around the corner.

The Clubs two senior sides are both on bad runs - the first time both have lost 4 games simultaneously since the 1920's!! Howden Clough should not present too many worries for Daz Ekin under normal circumstances, but their current away form is better than our current home form, albeit we have played some good sides of late. As for our Reserves, just a few weeks ago this weekend's game at Wetherby could have been seen as potentially a vital step to the league title, but Dave Ekin must be wondering where the form has gone. Now well off the pace, he must try to find the spark that lit up the early part of the season. Wetherby lie 2nd in the League, but have played many more games than their closest rivals; their results of late have not been brilliant but they will hope to make it a run of three consecutive home wins and give Dave more headaches. On the bright side, both sides have played good football of late so things must turn at some point.

Sherwood lie 4th in the table but recent results have been mixed; on the contrary 'Bridge 'A' have some creditable results recently including last week's thumping of hapless Kirkby Malzeard. Relegation though is still a real possibility for Rob Lowe, but Spa travel to Clifford this weekend and then must play us, so our fate is very much open and a good result this weekend will not only give us vital points, it will also boost confidence within the team and give hope that we can avoid the drop.

As always, we try to be realistic in our preview, but when all is said and done - C'MON 'BRIDGE!!!

Please note that home and away form is in all competitions as far as we can ascertain, so wins and losses can differ slightly to those shown for League only. League stats courtesy of The FA FullTime websites.
