Weekend Form Statistics
It's our first Cup Final of the season on Sunday, as we travel to Wetherby for the Knockout Final against Harrogate CSC, a team we have become rather familiar with of late. Extra time defeat in the FA Challenge semi a month ago was avenged slightly last week when a Steve Paffett penalty was enough to seal a home league win. Rich Donohoe would no doubt settle for that this Sunday which would land him his first piece of silverware since he took on the Gaffer's role. Before then, Atlanta are Friday's visitors. The records show a 9-2 away win for us earlier in the year, but Rich will be telling his men to avoid complacency or cup final distraction and to actually fight for their places in the final team.
Elsewhere the two weekend fixtures for the Reserves look interesting, both games featuring similar form stats. The match against Knareborough Town Reserves on monday is probably the pick of the bunch this weekend if we leave the Cup Final aside.
Daz Ekin will hope the sparkling form of Wednesday carries into the weekend at home to Street Work Soccer, who have fairly poor away form. That said, 'Bridge have poor recent home form, so Daz will look to a boost ahead of a tough midweek trip to Sherburn.
As we get to the "sharp end" of the season. Rob Lowe will hope recent good form and performances are carried to the season's end. Basement battles against Spa Athletic and Kirkby Malzeard are both "six pointers" and the 8-0 win over the latter will be irrelevant when the whistle blows next Thursday.
