BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 2 THIRSK FALCONS RES 5
Despite the six league defeats on the bounce Bridge have been competitive in all their games this season and can count themselves unlucky not to have any points to show for their endeavours. On Saturday, however, they can have no complaints, especially in a disappointing first half, when they lacked confidence and an animated edge to their game. They got off to the worst possible start going down to a fourth minute Chris Moores effort but temporarily pulled the game around with a Paul Scaife goal on 15minutes. The parity did not last long as Moores added his second on 24minutes and two minutes later 1st team centre forward Mark Cobb showed that extra bit of flair with his first of the afternoon. Liam Bannard did pull one back when he headed home a Wayne Fisher cross only for Cobb to restore the two goal advantage a minute later. Some harsh words did result in a better second half performance which was slightly tarnished by Cobb scoring his hat trick goal in the last minute.
