WHITKIRK WANDERERS RES 6 BOROUGHBRIDGE RES 1
The consequence of a dismal performance from Bridge is reflected in the result as they were comprehensively beaten by title contenders Whitkirk. Steve Scott proved a real handful for the Bridge defence in the first half but it was his strike partner Paul Graham who came up with the goals in the 22nd & 28th minutes. It did not get any better when Potter scored from the penalty spot 12 minutes into the second half and six minutes later Jamie Smith had his spot kick well saved by Dominic Moyles. A Mark Burniston goal a minute later, courtesy of an inattentive linesman, did give Bridge some hope but this was soon nullified with Graham’s hat trick goal and a late brace from Luke Ullah.
