Bridge started brightly and had already forced Rovers keeper Chris Price into two fine saves before he was comprehensively beaten in the 8th minute by a Tom Smith free kick which he passed into the bottom corner of his net. Bridge lost the ubiquitous Ben Mudd in the 12minute but this did not deter the home side and Jon Hunt opened his account for the Club in the 21st minute. Ross Hamilton made it three on the stroke of half time and within three minutes of the resumption Jordan Midwood and Hunt had made it five to complete the scoring. Ossett did not fold however and late in the game Andy Shaw produced two fines out of Tony Harrison.
