HAROLD STYAN'S RES 2 BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 3
Bridge struggled in the early stages against Styans direct approach and a five man midfield but the home side failed to make this tell and on 11 minutes an incisive through ball from Chris Stephenson found Paul Scaife who beat the offside trap to put Bridge in front. It was Bridge's turn to pull the strings and James Harris saved well from Tom Ekin and Steve Warburton only to be beaten again on 21minutes by an Andy O' Hare shot cum cross that flew into the top corner. James Drew got the home side back into the game 10 minutes before the break and two minutes into the second half he took advantage of some sloppy defending to bring the teams level. Bridge responded well and on 55 minutes they got their noses in front again as Wayne Fisher drilled the ball into the bottom corner after good work from Warburton and O'Hare. Bridge's task was made much harder when they were reduced to 9 men but with another assured performance from keeper James Cooper and some no nonsense defending they managed to survive.
