BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 4 BRAFFERTON RANGERS 2 (AET)
Bridge got off to the worst possible start when a long clearance from Rangers keeper John Sherwood threw their defence into disarray allowing Ali Wildash to slot the ball past James Cooper. This rocked the home side with Cooper forced into three great saves and when he was beaten the bar came to his rescue. Bridge rarely threatened and apart from a Tom Ekin shot that hit the post they were lucky to go in at the break only one goal in arrears. Four minutes into the second half Craig Tetley got them back on terms after good work from Scaife and Fisher but 5 minutes later it was deja vu as Chapman and Cooper got into another tangle leaving Wildash to chip home his second. Cooper atoned for his part with another fine save to deny McKeown before Wayne Fisher turned his marker and his innocuous looking shot slipped under Sherwood's body. Bridge finished the stronger but with extra time beckoning Gary Watts shot over when well placed. On 102 minutes the tireless Steve Warburton hit the post with Fisher on hand to poke home his second and he completed his hat trick ten minutes from time.
