Defences tended to dominate this encounter and in the end a share of the points was about right. Bridge took the lead through Dan Saxon who assuredly beat Dan Leadbeater from 10 yards following good work and awareness from Ben Clayton and Josh Kidd. The home side worked assiduously to keep their lead but were undone right on the half time whistle. Delroy Rudd, who was having a fine game' made a superb one handed save just before the break but  the ball was only partly cleared and when it was crossed back in from the right Martin Rostron was on hand to head home the equaliser. This was how the score stayed with neither side able to gain the upper hand
