BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 1 HARLOW HILL RES 1.
Struggling for a side all week Bridge were able to call upon the services of Steve Kirby whose experience and guile proved invaluable in this evenly balanced contest.  The visitors certainly had the better of the opportunities in the first half with Jon Bailes and Kirby clearing of their own lines and keeper Delroy Rudd making up for his fumble with an excellent double save. In the second half Bridge came more into the game and Jon Brear shaved the bar and Chris Chapman was inches wide with another effort. Just when Bridge seemed to have Harlow rattled Chris Story cut in from the left and picked out sub Matt Roebuck to fire home the opening goal. This was on 81 minutes and looked like securing the points for the visitors but straight from the kick off the ball was played to Steve Kirby and Steve Warburton ran on to his through ball to beat Tony Diver from an acute angle. Minutes later Bridge thought they had snatched the points when Chapman headed home a Kirby free kick only for the Bridge skipper to be adjudged offside.
