ABERFORD RES 0 BOROUGHBRIDGE RES 3
Even after a week's lay off it was a much changed side that travelled to Aberford but it did not effect their performance away with a hard earned victory and their first away win of the campaign. They signalled their intentions from the off with a Ben Mudd header bringing a fine save out of Jon Else following an Andy Hall cross. Bridge continued to dominate but did not get the breakthrough until the 29th minute with a 20 yard beauty from Mudd that gave Else no chance and they should have added to this before the break. The home side showed more determination after the break and had the opportunity to draw level when Steve Kirby gave away a needless penalty. Daz Bourke was handed the responsibility but he was twice denied by Anthony Harrison and with some fine handling and more critical saves from the keeper, Bridge regained some control when Tom Smith added their second. This was fifteen minutes from time and they tied up the points three minutes later when Dave Morley could only turn a cross from the indefatigable Phil Wix into his own net.
