BOROUGHBRIDGE 5 FC BOSTON 2 (aet)
Playing with six 17 year old in their side Bridge pulled off a real surprise with the extra time victory over FC Boston. Bridge youngsters were not overawed and only some excellent saves from Andy Caine that restricted them to a single goal lead from a smart Johnny Brear finish on 34 minutes. Boston turned the game around in the second half with a long range effort from Danny Baeza that deceived Harrison and 15 minutes from time Martin Charlton slotted home their second. Seven minutes later, after three attempts had been scrambled clear, Uffindall headed home the equaliser and two minutes into extra time he put his side back in front. Uffindall went on to complete his hat trick with a delicate chip and Paul Eagling finished off the scoring when he ran from the centre of the park, weaved his way past two defenders before unleashing a 20 yard shot that left Caine helpless.
