CLIFFORD 5 BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 0
A much weakened Bridge side was no match for in form Clifford and that was reflected in the result. The home side have got a strong squad together and their play was cohesive and sharp and it was no surprise when they took the lead on 15 minutes through Mark Murphy. James Cooper briefly stemmed the inevitable with two excellent saves but he was beaten again on 37minutes by a penalty from the stylish James Jeffreys after Chris Chapman had brought him down. Bridge's cause was exacerbated by injuries to Mark Schofield and Tom Ekin and their task was made harder two minutes before the break when Murphy added his second.  In a damage limitation exercise Bridge went to a very defensive formation in the second half which kept the home side at bay until the 75 minute when Wayne Grainge added their fourth and two minutes later Danny Proctor completed the scoring to maintain Clifford's excellent start to the season.
