ATLANTA 2 BOROUGHBRIDGE 9
On a cold, wet, windy morning not conducive to good football Bridge defied the conditions to produce a sparkling second half performance to progress to the semi finals of the Harrogate FA Challenge Cup. An early Ollie Uffindall goal was all that separated the sides at half time but a plethora of goals after the break gave the final outcome a very lopsided look. Uffindall started the rout as he latched on to a long clearance from Tony Harrison to volley home his second two minutes into the second half and five minutes later a 25 yard screamer from Ollie Barton and a Phil Wix goal put the visitors in control. Wix then weaved his way through the home defence for number five before Darren Beeforth quickly reduced the arrears with a brace in the 72nd and 73rd minutes. Bridge soon regained the advantage as Ollie Bone whipped in a cross for Uffindall to complete his hat trick and Bone then got on the scoresheet when Dave King could only parry a Wix effort. Uffindall went on to add his fourth and Ben Clayton completed the scoring in the last few minutes.
