OTLEY TOWN 'B' 1 BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 1
Bridge's best moments in the game were at the start and finish and in between times they had to thank their keeper James Cooper for rescuing a valuable point with a stunning display. In the 1st minute Ross Mardon headed wide a Mark Schofield free kick and a minute later they took the lead as Gary Watts ran clear on goal and when Richard Halloran blocked his effort the ball ricocheted off a chasing defender into the net. The goal served as a catalyst to the home side who began to create problems down both flanks with Joe Wood and Josh Waite pulling the strings. It was no surprise when Otley equalised and it was Waite who created the opening weaving his way past two defenders before cutting the ball back for Wood to score. Watts had a half chance but Otley continued to dominate and when Wood tried to repay the compliment Cooper pulled off an amazing save to deny Waite's short range effort. The second half followed a similar pattern as Otley hit the post, had a goal disallowed, much to their chagrin, and were once more denied by a string of fine saves from Cooper. Having ridden their luck Bridge could have stolen all three points but for two smart Halloran saves to deny Johnny Brear.
