BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 2 KIRK DEIGHTON RANGERS RES 5.
With Johnny Bailes and Jonathan Brear both carrying injuries Bridge's plight was made worse in the first half when they lost Tom Ekin and Andy Hale, the latter being replaced by his dad. Despite these setbacks for 35 minutes Bridge more than held their own until a Dan Gore chip 10 minutes before the break and a second from Rich Vorgell 8 minutes into the second half put Deighton in control. Mark Suttle clipped home the third five minutes later and Ross Park beat Cooper at his near post for the fourth but between times the keeper did produce two excellent saves. A harsh penalty decision allowed Dan Gore to get his second before a brief rally from the home side saw Marcus Philpott, returning after a 16 month lay off, and Gary Watts add a couple of late goals.
