Bridge's young side eased their way to the next round of the Senior Knock Out Cup with a deserved victory against an experienced and resolute Scholes side. Phil Wix opened their account on 16 minutes with a well taken goal with the departing Ollie Uffindall heading home a second from a corner. Danny Webster coolly slotted home the third on the half hour mark past the onrushing Dave Britton for the third to put Bridge in a comfortable position at the break. Eight minutes into the second half Abel Miles reduced the deficit for the visitors before Uffindall signed off with a penalty and his second ten minutes from time.
