~Match Report 2007/08~
Sunday Reserves Division 2 This was a game that Boroughbridge could quite easily have won, but was all about having strength in depth. In the first half, Boroughbridge were in command against their promotion chasing rivals and a string of missed chances went begging, Tadcaster hardly threatening the Boroughbridge goal. In the second half Boroughbridge had to use all three substitutes early in the half due to injuries, but the substitutes who took to the field were themselves unfit and struggling. This was despite the fact that the first team game was called off, and there was an abundance of players willing to play - LESSON LEARNT. As a result of this in the second half Tadcaster began to get the upper hand, and two goals from Danny Nicholls, sealed their victory, in the 60th and 75th minutes. Despite this, Boroughbridge still had their chances but lacked that killer instict in front of goal. Impressive performances were from Callum Willey, commanding in defence; Liam Bannard, who had to adapt to three different positions during the game; Tom Smith, absolute class, and man of the match Craig Tetley, the Mr reliable of Boroughbridge.
