BOROUGHBRIDGE 'A' 0 PANNAL SPORTS 3.

Bridge found their Premier Division opponents too quick and strong but they gave a good account of themselves despite losing three goals in the opening 30 minutes. After a late backword they were able to call on the experienced Alastair Hogg and he was brought into action in the first minute clawing away a Mike Kell effort. Bridge managed to clear the first corner only to concede the opener when Alex Tate headed in the second one. Nevertheless Bridge battled back and thought they had equalised on 21minutes only to have the goal disallowed for an alleged push on goalkeeper Simon Gill by Dave Burniston.  This setback was compounded further when the resultant free kick found its way to John Allsop to curl his shot into the top corner and their thirty minutes of misery was completed by Chris Chapman who lost his radar with a clinical finish from the edge of the box. Bridge could have collapsed at this stage but with Hogg producing some fine saves and Burniston working assiduously in midfield they held their own and to maintain their Division 2 status they will have to maintain this level of performance for the rest of the season.
