Another abysmal performance resulted in Bridge slipping to another humiliating home defeat to relegation threatened Aberford. The visitors hit the bar early on and Bridge had an effort cleared off the line but generally the opening exchanges were fragmented and lacking in any real quality until the 31st minute when Aberford produced an excellent move that ended with Steve Scott heading home a Ryan Whittaker cross. There was little ingenuity on show from the home team and it was no surprise when Scott again out jumped the home defence to head home his second from a Mick Evans free kick a minute before the interval. A change in formation brought about some improvement after the break but Bridge failed to create any sustained pressure and apart from a Ben Darville effort that flashed inches wide and an individual run from Paul Eagling there was little to trouble Matt Potter in the Aberford goal. Any hopes Bridge had of getting something out of the game dissipated when Whittaker fired home a superb volley on 68 minutes leaving stand in Manager Dave Ekin shaking his head in disbelief at what he was witnessing.
