Bridge completed their league program with a battling display despite 8 changes from their previous game, Ben Darville had two great chances to put them in the lead but had one saved on the line and then forcing a fine save out of the home keeper. On a minefield of a pitch and a Referee who had his own ideas about the offside law ( if they appealed he gave it even if you ran past the last man with the ball ) Bridge were coping well with the home sides attacks until out of the blue a mishit shot by Rothwells number 17 ( no name corresponding to that number on team sheet ) found the top corner to give the home side a 1-0 lead at the break. The second half became a bitty affair with neither side being able to master the poor surface until 15 mins from time when Rothwell had a player sent off for a second yellow ,with this Bridge pushed on put they could not break down a solid home defence and with time running out they got caught with a sucker punch as Towton was allowed to pick his spot from 25 yards to seal the win.
