Both these sides fulfilled their obligation to the WYAFL by completing their fixtures and this was reflected in the final score. In a scrappy first half of few chances Wetherby were reduced to ten men just before the break, which served to inspire rather than deflate, and in the second half it was the home side that had the better of the game. Neither goal was under serious threat and Bridge were able introduce Reserve Team Manager Dave Ekin for the last few minutes to join son Tommy who had been brought on 20 minutes earlier.
