The inaugural Devils Arrows Premier League began last Saturday evening with the opening match taking place between The Serpent and The Scientist. It was the former who took home both points after a resounding four nil victory, to move to the top of the table. The league gets into full swing this weekend with many more matches to be played. 3 Oct - Results: Back On Top

Boroughbridge AFC returned to the top of the West Yorkshire Premier Division earlier today, beating Rothwell Athletic by a goal to nil at Royds Lane. 'Bridge go top by a point with Beeston St. Anthony's moving into second after a win at Aberford. In the only other West Yorkshire Premier match Pool beat Ossett Common Rovers by a goal to nil to move up to ninth. Meanwhile, at Aldborough Road the Reserves crashed out of the Challenge Trophy to Ardsley Celtic Reserves, losing by three goals to two. 'Bridge goals came courtesy of two magnificent volleys from Jimmy Binks and Ollie Barton. The 'A' team lost two one against Beckwithshaw Saints, our goal came from Jake Fletcher.

'Bridge Sunday lost their 100% record in the Claro Sunday League Division One earlier today after only managing a one all draw with Wetherby Athletic at Aldborough Road. 'Bridge were without the services of several key players including Alastair Hogg, Ben Clayton and Ross Mardon and it was a poor result for the league leaders. Ryan Devine scored for our point. Elsewhere Sherwood maintained their 100% record and moved to within one point of us having played one game less. Their formidable run has continued and they have now racked up 50 goals in six matches, conceeding eight.
