24 Jan - Lucky Seven: Week Twenty Five

Boroughbridge AFCFor the first time since Week Ten there is a new name atop the Lucky Seven table this week with former champion Mish mash taking over at the helm. The advantage is a slender 1.5 points from second-placed AFC Bridge 1900 with sandfracker a further four points back. It's FA Cup weekend and the new leader has selected a trio of games from the competition as well as four from what remains of the EFL action for this weekend's matches. All at Boroughbridge AFC are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Knaresborough Town President, Terry Hewlett, today following a short illness. Terry was a stalwart at Town but also a friend to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. The thoughts of all at the Club are with his family, friends and all at Knaresborough Town. Football has lost a true gent.
25 Jan - Matchday: Kippax & Ilkley Visit

Boroughbridge AFCBuild-up is now online and in Matchday ahead of this weekend's trio of games as 'Bridge look to make a swift return to winning ways. Daz Ekin's men travel to Leeds Modernians tomorrow from 2pm whilst 'Bridge Reserves welcome Kippax Reserves as Neil Greer's men hope to consolidate their advantage atop the Alliance Division Two. Sunday, meanwhile, sees Ilkley Town Ladies the visitors to Aldborough Road.
26 Jan - Results: 'Bridge Back On Top

Boroughbridge AFC smashed eight goals for no reply at Leeds Modernians this afternoon to surge back to the top of the West Yorkshire League Division One table. Phil Milsom and Jake Fletcher led the scoring with a hat-trick each whilst Chris Simpson and Dom Creamer also added their names to the scoresheet to complete the eight. With Hall Green United losing three nil at Hartshead, Daz Ekin's men return to the top of the table by a point albeit with Aberford Albion hovering two points back with three games in hand. 'Bridge Reserves, meanwhile, remain top of the Alliance Division Two table despite not playing after scheduled opponents Kippax Reserves were unable to make the trip to Aldborough Road. Neil Greer's side's lead atop the table was trimmed to three points by Salts Reserves who now have just one game in hand over 'Bridge.

27 Jan - Results: Hat-Trick Hat-Trick

Beth Bancroft became the third player to hit a hat-trick for the club this weekend as Boroughbridge AFC fired six goals for reply of one against Ilkley Town Ladies this afternoon. Bancroft was joined on the scoresheet by Siobhan Peplow, Ruth Robertson and Cara Houchen and shared the Player of the Match award with Peplow. 'Bridge move up a place to seventh in the table with their fourth league win of the campaign.
