07/10 - Who's in the Teams?
Team sheets for all of our weekend fixtures are now up and can be accessed by clicking here. |
07/10 - Get Well Soon Rob
If you enjoy a pint at the Club, you can thank Rob Young for the quality of it. Rob does a lot for us which goes unseen, from cleaning the pipes to buying the beer. Sadly he was involved in an accident yesterday and knocked off his bike on his way home from work. He has a number of fractures, especially to his left femur, and will be spending some time away from the Club. It goes without saying that we all wish him a speedy recovery, and hope he can be up and about very soon. You can send him a get well message on rob@boroughbridgeafc.com - no begging him to come back soon because the beer's not as good though!! |
05/10 - Tricky's Ten of the Best!!
'Bridge proved that there's still a heart beating inside by cruising past Overthorpe Town and into the Second Round of the County Sunday Cup today. A hat-trick from Ollie Barton, plus goals from Paul Eagling (2), Danny Webster (2), Ross Mardon, Dan Saxon and Ben Mudd meant that Tricky would have a sizeable bar bill though - he'd promised beers all round if his boys hit ten and they duly obliged. They get the instant reward of a Second Round tie next Sunday at home to Chickenley Heath. On the second pitch, Turtle's Reserve team went down 3-0 to a very strong Killinghall Nomads side.
BAFC Sunday 10 - 0 Overthorpe Town
BAFC Sunday Reserves 0 - 3 Killinghall Nomads |
04/10 - Both Boroughbridge Sides Plus
Harrogate Vets' at Aldborough Road Tomorrow
Tricky leads his Sunday side at home tomorrow against Overthorpe in the First Round of the County Sunday Cup, hoping to keep their recent good run of form going. Meanwhile Tom Ekin's Reserves are also at home to Killinghall Nomads in a League match. Both games kick off at 11 a.m. Then why not stay for Harrogate Veterans v Leeds Partezan which kicks off at 1.45 p.m. |
04/10 - Today's Results
More gloom as 'Bridge let a 2-0 half time lead slip in the County Cup First round, whilst Tom Ekin's strike is merely consolation as the Reserves exit the County Trophy at Bardsey.
